Burne-Jones Window

One of the most beautiful and popular windows in St Giles’ was designed by Edward Burne-Jones, and made in the workshops of William Morris. This window, at the west end of the church near the Albany aisle, shows the crossing of the Jordan in the upper section, and portrays the figures of three great heroines of the Old Testament in the lower lights. The window has been designed to enhance the western light that it catches, and shows a masterful use of colour.
