Reverend Calum I. MacLeod

Born in Scotland, Calum studied in Glasgow where he obtained a BA in Economics from the University of Strathclyde and a BD in Divinity from the University of Glasgow. From 1994 until 1997 he was Probationer Assistant and then Assistant Minister of St Columba’s Church of Scotland, London, where he was Ordained in March 1996. Appointed to the staff of Fourth Presbyterian Church, Chicago [PCUSA] in September 1997 he has served that congregation in a number of capacities concluding as Executive Associate Pastor and Head of Staff.

Calum is married to an American, Missy, and the couple has a daughter named Maddy who is at University in California.

St Giles’ Assistant Ministers

Rev Helen Alexander was born and brought up in Edinburgh. A graduate of Glasgow University, she was Assistant Minister in St Giles’ from 1980 – 1983 and was ordained here in 1981. She has qualifications in social work and psychoanalytical psychotherapy and has worked in these fields as well as in parish ministry and university chaplaincy. Following a period of ministry with the Uniting Church in Australia, she returned to Edinburgh and to St Giles’ in 2009.

Reverend Aaron Janklow

A graduate of Princeton TheologicalVersion 2 Seminary, Aaron has recently submitted his Ph.D. thesis in theological ethics at the University of Edinburgh. Aaron is a Phi Beta Kappa and Summa Cum Laude graduate of Temple University, and first studied in Edinburgh as a McFarland Scholar of the St. Andrew’s Society of Philadelphia nearly 15 years ago. Edinburgh is where he first discerned his call to ministry, and he is honoured to be an Assistant Minister here at St. Giles’. Aaron has also served as a Lilly Resident/Minister in Residence at the First Presbyterian Church of Ann Arbor, Michigan and as Associate Pastor at First Presbyterian Church of Delray Beach, Florida.
