Born in Cheshire, pianist and composer Adrian Lord studied composition with Alan Bullardand piano performance with Robert Bell.
In 2016 he released his debut album Journey – Twelve Romances for Piano, recorded at Crear on Scotland’s west coast. During the pandemic he gained new followers through twice-weekly Facebook Live performances, described as “must-watch” by Pianist magazine, helping listeners relax and connect. These broadcasts inspired his third album, Piano Meditations.
His recent piano book of intermediate pieces Elements was a finalist at the 2025 Art of Piano Education Awards, and his music features on in-flight entertainment for British Airways.
A keen walker of the Wainwright fells, today Adrian will be playing pieces from his latest album Mosaic, exploring the connection between music and colour.
