Reese Carly Manglicmot is carving a unique path founded on versatility, operating primarily as a composer and performer. Her “positively eloquent” music has been performed across the UK and Europe by groups including the BBC Concert Orchestra, (BBC Proms), the Red Note Ensemble (soundfestival Aberdeen) and Nordic Viola (University of Stirling). As a pianist, she has performed and self-premièred in Lithuania, Romania and across the UK. Her performances involve blending free improvisation, new music and poetry recitations amongst familiar repertoire. She has played not only as a solo, collaborative and orchestral pianist, but also as a keyboard continuo (harpsichord) player. Reese performs as part of the Aloysius Duo, and began work with Live Music Now Scotland in the 2025/26 season. Reese completed her BMus in Joint Composition and Performance with Honours of the First Class from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. There, she held an RCS Trust Scholarship, and attained an endorsement in Music Leadership with Distinction. Over the course of her studies, she accumulated prestigious prizes including The British Reserve Insurance Prize for Early Music (2025), and The Walter and Dinah Wolfe Prize for Composition (2025). She is an alumna of the Purcell School, where she studied from 2017 until 2022.
Aidan is the Director of fledgling arts organization "The Institute for the Living Arts," (ILA) serving diverse communities within Texas and Scotland. Having graduated from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland in 2025 where he studied cello performance and baroque cello with David Watkin and where he formed the ILA, receiving a special distinction in music leadership, Aidan has built his young career breaking down the barriers between musical disciplines as conductor, composer, improviser, and cellist. In 2025 Aidan led the SCPSO in the premiere of his own piece "Symphony Apocalypsis" and has recently given the premiere of his "Suite in G" for self-accompanied cello. Works include, "Nocturne and Aubade for Cello and Piano", "Elegie for an Office," "Easter Fantasy for Orchestra," and "Cantata after Psalm 63." Aidan is also passionate about bringing Historically Performance to young people as Director of the Living Music Youth Consort.
