Cathedral Music Trust: Edinburgh Gathering

St Giles’ Cathedral is looking forward to hosting the Edinburgh Gathering of the Cathedral Music Trust.

A real highlight of the event will be a world premiere by acclaimed composer Paul Mealor. His work has reached huge audiences from the royal wedding of The Prince and Princess of Wales in 2011, where his piece Ubi Caritas et Amor was performed, to the chart-topping single Wherever You Are, which became the UK Christmas number one that same year. His music spans everything from symphonies and operas to intimate choral works, and this new piece will be heard here first.

Alongside this, the event includes a behind-the-scenes look at rehearsals, live performances, and the chance for audiences to experience world-class cathedral music.
