Book your group visit
No tour of Edinburgh is complete without a stop at St Giles’ Cathedral.
To book your group in please fill out the form to the right and we will get back to you.
All groups of over 5 people need to book in advance of arriving at the Cathedral.

Step One: You submit a group visit request form from our website (right side of this webpage). Completing this form alone is not a confirmed booking.
Step Two: Our Groups Coordinator will check those dates against our calendar. If the date and time are available, a booking form will be sent for you to fill out.
Step Three: Once this is filled out and returned, our Groups Coordinator will be in touch to confirm your group’s booking.

To ensure your group gets the best visit to St Giles’ Cathedral you should book your group in. As a functioning church we do have to close in order to hold services, by booking in, we can make sure that your visit does not clash with any of these planned closures. We can also guarantee access to the Thistle Chapel as part of your groups’ visit.
We will always turn away any unbooked groups.

To ensure you get the most out of your visits, groups may book between the following times:
Mon - Friday:
Morning visiting: 10:00am - 11:00am
Afternoon visiting: 12:30am - 17:00pm.
Saturday:
All Day: 9:00am - 16:00pm
Sunday:
Afternoon Visiting: 13:00pm - 16:00pm
